I've only been using the coffee machine for a week. Some of the parts look rather cheap (plastic). Likewise, the milk holder doesn't look particularly beatable - but hopefully I'm wrong and it can withstand thousands of removals. I hope the interior of the coffee machine is all the more precise: D. My condition was that the coffee machine can whip milk, it can do that nicely, but I was surprised (I didn't study it much beforehand) that I can only make a cappuccino and not a caffe latte. I was also surprised to find that water (quite a bit) was running under the coffee pot throughout the entire pot, despite leaving a cup on the drip tray. After about 5 brews, the lid is 1/2 full (I read somewhere that water normally leaks in, but only in small amounts and it shouldn't overflow before the loger reservoir fills, but that's not the case here). Furthermore, there is no button to rinse (it rinses automatically when switched on and flushed). Otherwise, great satisfaction!

I wanted to get an automatic coffee maker that would be able to whisk the milk itself. I was switching from an old Delonghi Magnifica S, where after 10 years the distribution board went out (I had it repaired and I still use it because it works like new again: )). Back to the Philips, design-wise it's very nice and makes an excellent cappuccino. As for the noise level of the pump, I have to say that it is a big disappointment for me (incredibly noisy). And when I saw the steaming unit, I started packing the machine back into the box. However, I was assured by the service technician that if the unit is well cared for and regularly lubricated, it is a time-tested, functional product. So I'm giving it another shot, so we'll see what it lasts. It's a good thing it was at the event, though. I'm now on the fence about whether I should have paid extra for the Delonghi, but time will tell.
