Used to connect MacBook PRO and 43", 144 Hz monitor. After a short period of time, the metallic HDMI 2.1 cable from Alza caused problems - image dropout, low resolution, limitations in image transmission. With this cable absolutely great, no problems (but so far quite short), it goes 4K / 120 Hz, 144 Hz unfortunately does not go via HDMI. Total satisfaction! IMPORTANT NOTICE! SOMEONE WROTE HERE THAT THE INNER BENDING RADIUS CAN BE 7.5 MM. THIS IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT, IN THE MANUAL THE MINIMUM INNER RADIUS (R) OF THE BEND IS 40 MM, THE INNER DIAMETER OF THE BEND (D) IS AT LEAST 80 MM. THESE ARE GLASS FIBERS THAT WORK VERY WELL WITH MAXIMUM TRANSMISSION QUALITY, BUT BENDING THEM TOO MUCH WILL EASILY BREAK THEM!
Works great and seamlessly to connect a MacBook PRO and a 43", 144 Hz monitor (for HDMI for 4K max 120 Hz).
Compared to metallic HDMI 2.1 cables. smaller diameter and better flexibility.
It's my only experience, but my PS5 only runs 1080p 60hz with HDR (when I want a higher resolution I have to turn off HDR) and the PC through this cable won't even find my TV (tried on two different PCs 2060SE and 3080Ti). I bought two cables, the result is the same on two different PCs. The old no name cable still works.
I had a 5 meter AlzaPower AluCore Premium HDMI 2.1 cable where I had a problem with cable interference. Sometimes there was frequent loss of connection and in extreme cases the picture flashed 5 times a minute. The only "solution" was to stably load the RTX 3080 (e.g. to run the game in the background), which itself also generated a lot of interference if there were big changes in its use (and even then the image sometimes flickered, which you don't want when playing). I avoided optical HDMI cables for a long time because I thought they were all prohibitively expensive, but then I came across this cable, and I figured I had nothing to lose. So I bought the cable, and the problem is finally over. I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a longer HDMI cable.
End image dropout problems
Much thinner than a comparable metallic cable (about the same as a regular USB-C cable). It's great to work with.
Care must be taken when working with the cable to avoid breaking it
Micro blackouts occur quite irregularly, interrupting playback (the device detects the disconnection). Extremely annoying, I'm about to wrestle it out of the room again (which is no fun) and return it. It is not broken anywhere - after all, it usually plays smoothly and without errors.
