Despite a lot of reviews that state that the cable is not data I confirm the opposite. I have 2, one I use as an extension of the charger cable and the other as an extension of the USB hub cable to the PC. I have not verified the maximum data rate, but with the fastest USB device I own that can be plugged into the HUB, 250 MB/s is no problem.
