The Seasonic Core GX-850 shows just how advanced modern mid-range power supplies have become. It's neatly built, works efficiently and reliably, and comes with a full set of protections - everything you need from a good PSU today. The compact design, decent specifications and high efficiency speak for themselves. The only compromises are relatively modest equipment (in particular, few SATA- and Molex-connectors) and a fan that, although quiet, is not silent and does not support passive mode.
If you don't need "overkill" features like dual 12VHPWR connectors or premium components, the Core GX-850 is a great choice: It handles modern video cards without any problems, has mature circuitry and costs quite reasonable money.
