I had the previous model - without BT and with only 4GB of memory. I was happy with it for a long time, but luckily I lost it on the shore of a lake after one swim. After a long and positive experience I bought this thing which already has BT and a proper memory. And that's the only thing that was missing to complete perfection.
I use it for distance swimming, but also for other sporting and non-sporting activities and I am completely satisfied.

Also, the Openrun model included two charging cables, which was handy given their non-universality (one at home, one at work). And no, unfortunately cables from other models cannot be used - the Swimrun model is a four-pin model.
