I’m on my second pair of these and they’ve been worth it. I bought device insurance on these because the first pair started to fail after about 18 months of heavy use, using them in the shower, sauna, and pool. They are sturdy, they sound pretty good, and they’re great for being at home or on a walk with the dog and not being oblivious to loved ones and surroundings. The sound feels like it’s coming from the environment, which is great for my ADHD and less disturbing to my family than covering my ears all the time. They are also comfortable to wear around the neck when not using them, and I’ve never had them fall off or even fall out of place. They are also pretty discrete and don’t leak a lot of sound into the environment which is great. My ears are very sensitive so these have been a game changer for me, not having to have my ears blocked all the time.
Battery life is fantastic. Charging is fast.
Great sound quality in the water (with earplugs)
Reasonably comfortable and usable in everyday situations, if a not in noisy environments.
Pretty good app and multi-device support
Supports MP3 and now also limited file navigation in the app.
can wear them in the shower, or the rain, which is great
Obviously the sound quality is not the focus, even though it’s pretty good (and even great in the water actually). It takes some getting used to but it’s acceptable for podcasts and music.
The band is not particularly comfortable for sleeping, so you won’t want to listen in bed.
Pairing and connectivity could be better. Do not expect the range of Bluetooth to be long, and don’t expect them to stay connected underwater. you will need to use MP3 for that.
Still no way to wirelessly transfer MP3 from the app to the headphones without a wired connection. this is very annoying. however it is now possible to organize your mp3 and navigate from the app, which was not possible before.
Definitely get the insurance if you want to use them every day. my first pair only lasted about 18 months of heavy daily use
Call quality is not always good. people often complain that they sound muffled.
the stop and play button is a little sluggish which can get annoying. sometimes it doesn’t respond when pressed.

I had the very first version of AfterSHOKZ, but unfortunately, I broke them. I tried some Sony headphones, and most recently I had a pair for swimming that went behind the ears with MP3 playback – they lasted 7 years. So, after about 10+ years, with a bit of trepidation and a guilty conscience (because it's a hell of a lot of money for a silly pair of headphones), I bought Shokz again – this time the version for swimming. Compared to the original version, they definitely have better (more flexible) materials and are significantly smaller overall. I use the headphones every day – for sport (cycling, running, swimming), for walks with the dog, for physical work (like when I'm digging a trench or chopping wood), and for work at the computer. They don't hurt behind the ears and they sit firmly. The open-ear design is an advantage (you can hear your surroundings) but also a disadvantage – a passing car will reliably drown anything out. I haven't tried them on a train/the tube yet, but from my experience with the first version, I know it's not great, the surrounding noise is just too loud. On the bike, however, the wind noise wasn't a major issue and listening was perfectly fine. But when I put earplugs in (a pair is included, but I use my own), they were completely fine to use while cutting with a chainsaw. They worked perfectly when swimming in the water – it was as if they got louder. They didn't fall off, even during more vigorous strokes. The battery life is fantastic compared to the Sonys – the 8–9h is realistic. When I'm running, I can hear what's going on around me – that's their absolute best feature. I can even hear my dog breathing, let alone a car on the road in the distance. It feels as if the sound is coming from your surroundings, not from the headphones. The only downside is that contraption for charging and uploading files – I have to be careful with it and I'm hoping the cable has a long life. It's designed nicely (with a magnet), but it mustn't break. That's probably the only design complaint I would have. Oh, and the app is surprisingly usable, I definitely recommend installing it. So yeah, if you're hesitant to shell out that much money for headphones, don't be, they're really nice. They're not for audiophiles, that's obvious, but for casual listening + podcasts, they're perfect.
Open design
Light
Battery
For swimming
They look durable, even robust.
Nice case for carrying.
They don't work in a noisy environment (earplugs are the solution)
I would prefer the charging thingy with a detachable cable.
Well, they're not the cheapest.

Dissatisfied
The headphones are good, but when I took them into the shower, I switched them off. When I switched them on again in the evening, I couldn’t pair them with Bluetooth. The first complaint took a month to sort out; a month later they gave me a new pair, but they’ve done the exact same thing – the headphones are a right load of s*** I’m off to make a complaint today – this brand is a load of sh*t.

Perfect
Light
Holds perfectly even when swimming racing style, both breaststroke and freestyle
In water, the volume is just right and the listening quality is fundamentally better than on dry land (subjective impression)
Control is logical (subjective)
Easy switching between MP3 modem (playing from internal memory) and Bluetooth modem (playing from phone)
As a handsfree set, it works well on the whole
uploading to internal memory easy (in OS Win it acts as a large capacity storage)
I haven't yet understood the difference between swim mode and normal mode (I guess you need to use the included earplugs when swimming - I haven't tried that yet)
For me, it fulfilled the task (listening to music during competitive swimming)
The strap around the back of the head is not adjustable (however, any thing that is movable introduces the possibility of damage - so it's more of a comment than a criticism - it doesn't fundamentally harm anything)
it's a bit of a pity that you can't switch between folders with recorded songs (in MP3 mode) - you can only switch individual songs)
The sound quality on land - of course this is due to the design of the sound transmission - so again just a comment rather than a criticism. Still, it's pretty good

I haven't had one in the water yet but it looks great, I will definitely use the plugs for this as well, I might appreciate an extra pair of plugs. usbc charging (only one side, the other is a bit different so you always have to have that particular charger) but it makes sense because of the water resistance,
fits great
intuitive operation
good sound, also suitable for running
packaging is similar to some apple device
bluetooth doesn't work underwater (not the fault of the device)
without plugs they can be quiet

Expensive, but the utility value is great
Connection to the phone works beautifully even at a longer distance in the pool, no limit so far
Talking to AI in the pool
I was expecting a little bit higher sound quality, but it is due to the principle that the headphones are not in the ear like a stone - so not hifi, but because I use them for teaching, it is absolutely OK

These headphones get two stars only for their sound quality and battery life. Everything else is a complete failure. The lack of a proper USB-C cable makes me want to kill the creators of these headphones even more. As for Bluetooth, sometimes my phone simply doesn't detect them, and I have to forget the device to reconnect. Overall, these headphones were developed more by marketers than actual engineers. After forgetting the cable twice, you'll really want to go to their office and kill the creator of that connector. I recommend finding other headphones with a proper connector.
good sound quality
battery life
lack of USB C
Sometimes the phone simply doesn't see them via Bluetooth.

It would definitely be better to try the product in the showroom and then decide whether to buy or choose another one.
Apparently, it meets the above parameters.

Excellent buy, listen to music while swimming, swimming I can only afford it with openswim. The quality of the music is better (at a specific volume) than my other headphones, which are around the ears for 800 CZK. But my other headphones (again around the ears) for 2000 CZK do not match the sound. The quality of the music is greatly affected by the noise level of the environment (e.g. class), the sound is mixed with ambient noise. The sound sounds like you are somewhere where something sounds but others can't hear it, I don't use in noisy areas. Wearing them felt strange at first, then I got used to it and I wear them up to half a day. Cannot be worn with a hat. The headphones have modes in bluetooth mode, I think vocal and normal, and in MP3 player swimming and normal. While normal in MP3 is not as great as in bluetooth mode in normal or vocal (bass boost). In swimming mode it definitely seems that the manufacturers have really put in the work, the sound is quieter has weaker "drums" but in the water it sounds fantastic. In water, in normal mode in mp3, the drums are stronger and the bass is mixed (so the sound sounds worse in water). I was also surprised by the microphone, so the headphones can be used to make phone calls and hear the surroundings.
Waterproof
Great material and packaging
No audible vibrations in bluetooth mode
Fast charging
Lasts the day
Balanced modes based on environment (water, air)
MP3 player (required for water)
Intuitive control
Inserting songs into the MP3 player is via USB-C (also a charger), so it can be done via mobile
Intelligible microphone
Feel the vibrations with MP3 player in normal mode
Charging is via USB-C male, I charge with powerbank or dock

I like to get higher quality for a higher price and I got it here. I first tried a waterproof iPod Shuffle (excellent) with ordinary short earbuds, but they kept leaking, which is simply unsolvable with this type of design. I skipped the cheaper option of sound transfer to the bone and reached for the best available - Shokz Openswim. It was worth it. Although it is not hi-fi sound quality, but considering the type of use (normal undemanding listening at home, swimming) it is quite sufficient. However, an open ear does not automatically mean that you can hear and understand everything that is happening around you. I haven't tried the handsfree features, I don't use them, but they are available.
sound to the bone works perfectly
with ordinary earplugs underwater luxury
absolute waterproofness, solid construction and compact design
comfortable and reliable fit on the head, they start to press slightly after a few hours, lightweight
control buttons in well thought out locations and a counter pressure point is always available when pressed
Bluetooth with multipoint pairing
more than enough memory capacity for music files
firmware updates with new features via mobile app
Easy and fast USB 3 connection to PC and file transfer
pleasant magnetic click in the charging cradle and charge indication
verbal messages from the device (playback mode, equalizer, charge level)
not completely intuitive control by pressing and holding three buttons, must be learned according to the current manual in the mobile app (not important)
need to understand the system of playing files in folders in combination, a mobile app is required to control it (not important)
