Espresso grinds it into the lever without a problem. But I buy fresh coffee that's juicy. Melu on 5 so still plenty of room. The beginning of an espresso, actually. The timer is awkward. Cannot set different times for 1cup and 2cup. You set 1cup and the times for the others add up. So if you tune it to 1cup, 2cup will burn it out. At least for me and the Delonghi portafilter. I don't mind that so much, I still do doubles even when I'm doing singles. But it might bother some people. Grinding into the lever doesn't remember the times. So you have to set them from 8sec every time
So I stuck with the mugs that remember even after unplugging. I turn it on, I've got two cups in there, start and grind. Satisfaction. If it had broader personalization, and remembered lever times, it would be perfect.
