The transition from the stereo system to the 7.1 Soundbar is noticeable at first listen. The difference in the movies and videos that Dolby supports is incredible. In Bravia Connect, the ability to switch surround modes is great - you can tailor the soundbar to different content. For a truly immersive surround sound experience, I recommend adding a subwoofer and 2 rear satellites. For the undemanding listener, however, the soundbar is perfectly adequate. The difference in sound quality compared to the built-in speakers in the TV is incredible!

After a worse experience with the Bravia TV and Samsung soundbar (when the TV sometimes pumped loud noise into the soundbar), I decided to get a Sony soundbar for the Sony TV - it works seamlessly.

For me, a big plus is that you can set (almost) permanent extinguishing of the status LED, for example against infantile lighting of the display at every fart (even unrelated to the soundbar) for example at JBL

You can't get it to work without Bravia connect

The application will perform an auto-calibration, or guide you through the connection of other devices such as a subwoofer or rear speakers. With the subwoofer, the soundbar gets another great dimension. Although the soundbar itself plays great even without SBW, the bass component is noticeable. The sound will amaze you, compared to classic TV speakers. A great feature is the use of the speaker from the TV at the same time. The 360 Reality Audio function is also a luxury, when you feel that the sound is coming from all sides. Noticeable in the case of Dolby Atmos. The Sony Connect application also provides you with updated firmware. There is also a simple connection via Bluetooth or Spotify Connect, which works flawlessly. The only shortcoming I see is the Sony Connect application, which is nice and simple, but lacks any custom equalizer settings. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.
