I have applied a large number of protective glasses across the family, most of them on phones of this shape (iP 8, SE 1,2,3, ...). But I don't remember ever coming across a more useless and less relevant glass dimension. Protecting the entire front panel? No way! The width is barely enough to cover the diplay part, so that the edge curvature is still above the functional display! Even the Home Button is not "protected" all the way around, but only about 3/4 of the way around.
The same takes place at the top. Crazy edges between this slide and the real end of the front panel. Maybe that layer works, but it looks awful, like it's been washed at 90'C. Moreover, the edges are very reluctant to stick to the dipole, so there is basically a white line around the entire perimeter, into which the ubiquitous dust and dirt will soon creep.
First chance I get, I'm going to peel this thing off and buy something that's actually made for this phone. I definitely do NOT recommend it to anyone! For me, never again.
