I'm reviving a 2017 macbook air where everything is EOL because the mac has non-free broadcom binary drivers, the wifi was very poor in linux, so I spent some time researching which wifi dongle would just work plug and play without having to install anything. This wifi dongle is the only one under 1000 crowns, here on alza has an in kernel tree driver and therefore works instantly even with 5Ghz band.
