There was a bit of a problem when first setting up the O2 network. But that's the same for all routers. You need to select PPPoE, you will get the password and name from O2 when you call their line. And then set the VLAN (again info from the phone). Then it'll boot up on its own. Adding more DECO units is ridiculously easy, I plug into the network near the first unit. And it builds itself (via wifi), then I take the new unit and move it to where I need it. And only there I will eventually connect the cable for a better signal. Super simple for me.
internet speed
ease of setup
Modularity
mesh really functional, I walk around the house and garden and don't worry about the connection, it just keeps working.
I like that it's just a box, no antennas, I just plug the box into a socket and it sets itself up
well it's a little more expensive, but I'm glad I bought it
I approached the purchase with a little apprehension. These disappeared the moment I plugged in all three units and tested the speed. I have two units connected via LAN (between floors) and the third via Wifi in the next room where the main unit (router) is. The unit is connected to the PC via LAN cable. When measuring speed I reach almost maximum speed. I wouldn't change to a single router setup in the barracks.
Easy installation
Even a layman can handle the controls
Wifi speedup in a two-storey barracks up to 3x compared to coverage with a regular router
Each unit can also be used as a router
I personally prefer to have everything under control in the mobile app rather than the web interface
I swapped it with all the WiFi elements in the house yesterday and so far it's great. The speed in a good signal is really great. Very simple setup.
Simple enough to set up
I did not find the IP address settings in Access Point mode. I solved it by reserving it on DHCP. It's probably in there somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
You have to install a mobile app.
