Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this camera – it doesn’t meet my requirements.
4K resolution, which I won’t actually use anyway, but I reckon if it had an SD card, it would work perfectly and you could record things like rain falling all night, which is very useful.
It detects almost anything, especially at night when it’s raining – the recording is full of nothing but the rain; if there were any uninvited visitors, it wouldn’t even pick them up. And when it’s not raining and the camera is on patrol, if it suddenly picks something up, it isn’t able to track it through to the end.
It has to be connected via Ethernet because it didn’t work at all on Wi-Fi alone (which was about 2–3 metres from the camera), but even that can be sorted out.
And it also has a short power cable, but that’s the least important thing of everything I’m writing about here.
Private zones aren’t working – for example, I have a neighbour, and when I black out the area where the camera is, the camera turns to face that blacked-out area; it doesn’t work at all.

Approx. 40 cm connection cable that splits into a 230 connector or a data connector. For him to get through the wall, there’d have to be a ridiculously large hole, or you’d have to tuck him away somewhere behind the camera so he doesn’t get in the way. I've been using Tapo cameras for 6 years, I have 12 of them, and this 4k camera takes the image, both day and night, back up a level, to the point of surprise. I have a Wi-Fi router in my house and the camera is placed outside on a shed that is about 12 meters from the house. The older Tapo cameras I have list night vision up to 30 meters, this camera lists 12 meters and sees much farther and better. The camera has been running for a month and no problem, I can only recommend it.
