The camera itself is fine. The daylight picture is great, the range is quite a bit. The microphone can record at about 20m so that it can be understood. In twilight the picture is ok too. The problem and a big one is the night mode, resp. when it's completely dark. The camera has IR illumination, but it only works in a specific angle of the camera, if you turn the lens to take what is needed so it starts to throw "piggies" through the cap and therefore you can not see anything. According to discussions on the net, the problem of these dome cameras is: ( So if someone wants to use it at night without lighting I would recommend a different version. I chose the dome for its "unobtrusiveness" when installed in the ceiling. Otherwise it works great with unifi's NVR.
