The SONOFF AirGuard TH Lite SNZB-02B is a compact Zigbee sensor for accurately monitoring indoor temperature and relative humidity. It uses a Sensirion sensor and measures temperature with an accuracy of ±0.2°C and humidity with an accuracy of ±2% RH, updating the data every 5 seconds. In addition to basic values, it also automatically calculates the dew point and VPD, helping to monitor conditions related to condensation, mould growth, or plant cultivation. The history in the app stores measured values for up to 6 months, and it is powered by two standard AAA batteries.

Accurate Temperature and Humidity Measurement
The SONOFF AirGuard TH Lite uses an industrial-grade Sensirion sensor to continuously monitor room conditions. It records temperature with an accuracy of ±0.2°C and relative humidity with an accuracy of ±2% RH. The measured data is refreshed every 5 seconds, so changes in ambient conditions can be captured quickly.
Dew Point for Early Detection of Condensation Risk
The SNZB-02B not only works with temperature and humidity but also automatically calculates the dew point from the measured data. Monitoring it helps to identify conditions where moisture can condense, leading to mould growth. This feature is useful in living rooms, storage areas, or places where more sensitive items are stored.
VPD for Monitoring Plant Cultivation Conditions
Another calculated value is VPD, or Vapour Pressure Deficit. This quantity is based on the current temperature and relative humidity. VPD provides a more detailed overview of the conditions affecting plant transpiration and can be used to monitor the environment in a greenhouse, grow room, or home garden.
History of Measured Values for up to 6 Months
The app stores historical data, so you can track the development of conditions over a longer period. Up to 6 months of temperature, humidity, dew point and VPD records are available, including clear trends. The measured data can also be exported for further processing or comparison.
Alerts When Set Values are Exceeded
You can set the desired comfort range for temperature and humidity. If a measured value exceeds the chosen limit, the system can send a notification to your phone. This allows you to react to changing conditions in time without having to check the data manually all the time.
Automation Based on Current Temperature and Humidity
The measured values can be used as conditions for smart scenes. When a set temperature or humidity is exceeded, an automation can, for example, turn on a compatible fan, dehumidifier, or other device. The sensor can also be combined with a smart thermostatic radiator valve to use the temperature measured directly where you are, instead of the value in the immediate vicinity of the radiator.
Compact Design for Small Spaces
The sensor body measures just 66.3×27.8×20mm. Thanks to its slim design, it can also be placed in smaller spaces, such as cabinets, humidors, wine racks, or musical instrument cases. The sensor can be hung using a lanyard or attached via the adhesive mount.
Powered by Two Standard AAA Batteries
The SONOFF SNZB-02B uses two standard AAA LR03 batteries, which can be replaced without special tools. The sensor can operate for up to 2 years on one set of batteries. The actual battery life is influenced by usage patterns, environmental conditions, and communication with the Zigbee network.
Apple Home via a Matter Bridge
The sensor communicates using Zigbee 3.0 and requires a compatible Zigbee gateway to operate. Via a compatible Matter Bridge, the SONOFF AirGuard TH Lite can also be integrated into the Apple Home environment. However, the sensor itself is not a native Matter device, and communication with the Matter ecosystem occurs through the corresponding gateway.
Support for Open Platforms
The Zigbee 3.0 standard also allows the sensor to be used with selected third-party platforms and Zigbee coordinators. This means the SNZB-02B can also be integrated into more open smart home systems. When used with ZHA, this model currently requires the addition of the relevant script.
