Long Range
The device operates in the 5GHz frequency band, supporting the WiFi 5 standard and MU-MIMO technology. The wireless connection provides a transmission speed of 867Mbps for smooth transfer of large data volumes. Two integrated 17dBi directional antennas with dual polarisation transmit the signal up to a distance of 5km. The antennas' beamwidth is 40° horizontally and 18° vertically for precise targeting of the wireless beam.
Wireless Network Scalability
The system supports the creation of both Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint connections in various network scenarios. When connected with a central Sector Bridge element, the network capacity increases to up to 32 connected Flex Bridge stations. Up to 8 units can be linked on a single line for gradual network expansion. The device can broadcast up to 8 SSIDs and supports TDMA technology for efficient management of wireless medium access.
Flexible PoE Powering
The device includes three gigabit Ethernet ports, two of which support PoE Out. The unit supports standard 802.3at and passive PoE with a voltage range from 37V to 54V. These ports can power connected IP cameras with up to 10W per port, or 5W per port when both outputs are used. Alternatively, it can be powered via a 12V DC input. Power consumption is 26.06W when actively powering other devices.
Weather Resistance
The IP66-certified outdoor casing protects internal components from dust ingress and heavy rain. Integrated surge protection for the Ethernet ports can withstand lightning up to 6kV. The device operates in temperature conditions from -40°C to 70°C. Protection is complemented by resistance to electrostatic discharges of up to +/- 8kV (air) and +/- 4kV (contact). It can operate in humidity from 10% to 90% and at altitudes up to 2,000m.
Easy Installation
The design allows for wall or pole mounting using the included mounting kit. The Omada app provides visual guidance for precise alignment of the integrated antennas. Physical switches on the device's body are used for quick setup of the device's role and pairing code without needing software configuration. Four signal LEDs indicate the strength of the wireless signal.
