APC Easy-UPS BVX 700VA (IEC)

The APC Easy-UPS BVX 700VA backup power supply operates with a line-interactive topology, protecting computers and electronic devices. It delivers an apparent power of 700VA and a real power of 360W. This line-interactive UPS uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), which actively stabilises fluctuating mains voltage without needing to switch to battery power. This saves battery capacity for when there is a complete power outage. At a half load of 180W, it powers connected devices for 5 minutes. For connecting your equipment, it features four backup IEC C13 sockets, which also provide surge protection with an absorption capacity of 273J. Thanks to its compact Tower design and low noise level of under 40dBA, this backup power supply with AVR is suitable for use in homes and small offices.

The power supply uses a line-interactive topology with an apparent power of 700VA and a real power of 360W. The Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function corrects undervoltage and overvoltage from the mains without using the battery. At full load, the power supply operates with high efficiency, while at half load, it reaches 93.7%. The backup time at 50% load (180W) is 5 minutes and 3 seconds. The IEC C14 input connector is used to connect to the mains, and a 1.2-metre power cable is included in the package. It offers four output sockets for powering your appliances. All four IEC C13 outputs are fully backed up by the battery and also protect against voltage spikes.

Battery and protection features

The 12V, 7.0Ah lead-acid battery provides power during an outage. A full recharge of the battery takes 8 hours. You can replace the battery yourself, which simplifies maintenance and extends the operational life of the unit. Surge protection with a 273J energy absorption rating and protection against deep battery discharge ensures your connected electronics are safe.

Management and status indication

The front panel features an LED indicator that shows the current operating mode, whether the unit is running on mains or battery power. Audible alarms alert you to key events, such as switching to battery mode, a low battery state, or an output overload. The absence of management software means that in the event of a prolonged power outage, you must shut down connected devices, such as a computer, manually.
