APC Smart-UPS SRT 2200VA RM 230V rack-mount, network card

APC Smart-UPS SRT 2200VA RM 230V rack-mount, network card
The APC Smart-UPS SRT 2200VA RM is a rack-mountable online double-conversion UPS, delivering an apparent power of 2200VA and an actual power of 1980W. This rack-mountable backup power supply fits into a 2U position and protects critical electronics such as servers, data storage, and network elements. At full load, it keeps connected devices running for 3 minutes and 53 seconds; at half load, this extends to 11 minutes and 36 seconds. Thanks to its online topology, the output voltage is always a pure sine wave, completely isolated from mains power disturbances. It includes a pre-installed network card for comprehensive remote management and monitoring. Its high power density and efficiency of up to 92.2% make it ideal for deployment in modern data centres and server rooms.
Key features of the APC Smart-UPS SRT 2200VA RM 230V rack-mountable backup power supply with network card
- Online double-conversion topology ensures a pure sine wave output
- Pre-installed network card enables full remote management
- User-replaceable battery for easy maintenance
- Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) saves battery life during power fluctuations
- Compatibility with the EcoStruxure IT platform for infrastructure management
- High power density in a compact 2U rack design
- Protection against deep battery discharge
Performance and pure sine wave output
The online double-conversion topology ensures the output voltage is always a pure sine wave, completely isolated from any input disturbances. The power supply operates at 92.2% efficiency at full load and 91.1% at half load. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects voltage across a wide range of 100–275V (at 50% load) without switching to battery mode. This configuration provides a high degree of protection for servers, network elements, and other sensitive equipment.
Battery and protection
Inside is a lead-acid 72V battery, which the user can replace themselves when needed (replacement module RBC141). It takes 3 hours to fully charge the battery. Protective circuits prevent deep battery discharge and extend its lifespan. The unit also includes surge protection with an energy absorption of 340J. Additionally, the supplied software handles the automatic and safe shutdown of systems during a prolonged power outage.
Remote management
For management and monitoring, it uses USB and RS-232 ports, but primarily the pre-installed Network Management Card 3. This transforms the 2200VA UPS into a fully-fledged network device. It enables remote monitoring of the UPS status, configuration of event notifications, and scheduled shutdowns of connected systems via a standard web browser or SNMP protocol. Its compatibility with the EcoStruxure IT platform allows for integration into centralised monitoring of the company's infrastructure.
Flexible connectivity and output ports
The power supply offers flexible mains connection options via BS1363A (British standard), IEC C20, and Schuko CEE 7/EU1-16P input connectors. A total of ten output sockets are available to power connected devices. Eight IEC C13 sockets serve common IT peripherals and servers, while two more robust IEC C19 sockets are for higher-consumption devices like blade servers or powerful network switches.
