As an advanced backup power supply from the APC Smart-UPS product line, it uses on-line double-conversion topology, which continuously regenerates power and delivers a perfectly clean sine wave without any interruption when switching to battery. This online UPS uses a modern lithium-ion battery, which not only ensures a long backup time, but also offers up to three times the lifespan and a significantly lower weight compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. With a true power output of 1980W and a pre-installed network card for remote management, this lithium-ion UPS is ready for immediate deployment in more demanding IT environments.

Performance and protection

This UPS uses advanced on-line double-conversion topology. This principle guarantees absolute isolation of connected devices from all mains power anomalies, such as spikes, voltage drops or frequency deviations. The system first converts the power to DC and then back to AC, creating a perfectly clean and stable sine wave output. With a true power output of 1980W and an efficiency of 91.7% at full load, it reliably powers even high-performance servers. In addition, the integrated automatic voltage regulation constantly corrects the voltage without using the battery, which preserves its lifespan. The surge protection, with an absorption capacity of 432J, protects hardware from damage.

Lithium-ion technology

At the heart of this UPS is a modern lithium-ion battery, which offers significant advantages over older lead-acid technologies. Its expected lifespan is 5 to 10 years, which significantly reduces the total cost of ownership and the frequency of maintenance. It is also significantly lighter and smaller, enabling high power density. Intelligent battery management actively monitors its status and optimises charging with 158W of power. As a result, this UPS provides a backup time of up to 55 minutes at a full load of 1980W and 124 minutes at half load. The battery is also hot-swappable, which means it can be serviced without interrupting the power supply to the protected devices.

Remote management and software

This UPS offers advanced management options for control and supervision. A key element is the pre-installed network card, which enables immediate connection of the UPS to an Ethernet network and its full remote management via a web interface. Administrators can remotely monitor status, configure notifications and perform diagnostics. In addition to the network port, USB and serial ports are also available. The package includes the professional PowerChute Network Shutdown software, which ensures the automated and safe shutdown of physical and virtual servers in the event of a prolonged power failure, thus protecting data from loss and corruption.

Connectivity options
