The Aqara T1 door and window sensor (DW-S03D) can reliably detect the opening or closing of doors and windows by measuring the distance between the sensor and the magnet. If the sensor detects an unauthorised opening of a door or window, it immediately triggers an alarm and sends an alert to your mobile phone. By connecting the sensor to the Aqara Hub, which provides compatibility with a range of smart home ecosystems, you can use the sensor with other smart devices such as lights, curtains, etc. You can easily set up different scenes and automations based on opening or closing doors and windows. The sensor uses the ZigBee 3.0 wireless protocol to communicate with other devices in your home. The device requires an Aqara Hub, which is not included.

Easy installation anywhere indoors
With its miniature size and maximum detection distance of 22 mm, the Aqara T1 can be installed virtually anywhere in the home. In addition to windows and doors, it can also be placed on drawers, cabinets, mailboxes, air conditioners, etc. You can use a thick sticker or thin magnetic plate (included) to install the sensor. The device is powered by a powerful CR1632 battery with a lifetime of more than two years.
Aqara T1 sensor as part of a smart home
Using the Aqara Hub (not included) and the Aqara T1 sensor, you can run different scenes and automations depending on whether doors, windows, sockets etc. are closed or opened. For example, if you open the door in the evening, the Aqara T1 sensor sends a signal to the wall switch to turn on the light. No matter how late you get home, the lights will automatically come on. If you leave the house or go to sleep, you can put the sensor into alarm mode. If a window or door is opened, an alarm is triggered and you receive a notification on your phone.

The device is energy-efficient, so one battery will last you more than 2 years with normal use. Compared to the original Aqara sensors, the T1 series offers OTA updates (wireless software download). This technology increases the stability of the device and extends its functionality. There is also a function for recording historical data and statistics. You can also use Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri voice assistants to conveniently control the sensor.

The Aqara T1 Door and Window Sensor uses the open ZigBee 3.0 wireless communication protocol that connects individual devices in a smart home and plays a key role in the Internet Of Things (IoT) world.
