Charge Your Smartphone Even Faster With Quick Charge 4+

Qualcomm recently unveiled the Quick Charge 4+. It is one of the newest advances in technology when it comes to charging smartphones and tablets. What are the main differences, and how much time will it take to charge your phone's battery to 50%?

NFC - Wireless technology that makes sense

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology that enables fast and secure data exchange over very short distances (up to 4cm). You can use your mobile to make purchases in a shop or simply to share documents with a friend. Compared to Bluetooth, NFC connection is automatic and usually faster.

What is pure Android?

Pure Android is an operating system for mobile phones with Android in its simplest form - it does not include an adjusted graphical interface or any features that are added to the operating system expansion by the individual manufacturers.

USB-C Connector: A Clear and Detailed Look

Technical innovations are coming slowly and USB-C is, unfortunately, proof of that. In our article, we will show you the many benefits this two-sided connector provides. It has a modern USB 3.1 Gen2 standard with universal connectivity. Is it really so much better than an ordinary USB?

How To Choose a Mobile Phone For Children

How do you choose between hundreds of mobile phones for your child? Whether it's for a ten-year-old know-it-all or a teenager, we'll advise you on what to look for and give you some tips on how to pick the best one.

Ingress Protection (IP)

The ingress protection (IP) is an internationally standardised code that identifies the resistance of electrical appliances against the ingress of foreign items and liquids, especially water. It is expressed in the so-called IP code, which consists of the "IP" followed by two digits: the first indicates the protection against dangerous contact and foreign objects, the second indicates the degree of protection against water ingress.

Haptic feedback

A modern control element used mainly in apps and games. Haptic technology is extremely touch-sensitive — modern devices with this technology can detect the degree of pressure you are applying. Different levels of pressure result in different effects. In the settings you can turn on the so-called tactile feedback, which means the system feeds you information on your actions. For example, in car racing, you have no pedals, but you have a steering wheel you can turn. If you strongly press the right side, the car speeds up; if you press the left side, the car slows down. If you press the steering wheel with enough force to trigger the brake function, the steering wheel gently vibrates to let you know it worked.

VoLTE

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an LTE technology that enables voice service over LTE. The standard must be supported by both your phone operator and the phone itself in order to work. Its advantages are high call quality and faster network connection.

Display resolution

Specifies the number of pixels (dots) on the screen. Typically, the display resolution is listed in a format such as 1920 × 1 080. In practice, the higher the resolution, the better the image quality. Do not forget to compare the resolution to the screen size, however. If you have two phones with the same display resolution, the image quality on the phone with a smaller screen will be better because its screen pixel density is higher.

Dual Camera

Dual-camera models feature two cameras - one on the front and one on the rear. This allows you to record the area in front and behind the vehicle.

AMOLED display

AMOLED, or Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode, belongs to the OLED family of display technologies. This is the most advanced display technology on the market. Compared with competing technologies, it boasts faster response times, lower energy consumption, and sharper colours. You can also enjoy perfect black colour reproduction, which results in better readability in direct sunlight. AMOLED displays also offer wide viewing angles, which in the case of IPS displays reach almost 180 degrees. However, the disadvantage of AMOLED technology is its higher price and shorter lifespan.

TFT display

A method of rendering LCD-display images. In this case, the image is formed by a thin film of transistors. A thin part of the display consists of small transistors that control individual picture points, or pixels. Unlike previous technologies, it has brought high image quality, high contrast, lower power consumption and smaller size. Today, the biggest advantage of TFT displays is the price. Compared with premium OLEDs, they also have a significantly longer life.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is the communication tool used by a huge amount of electronics. Learn how the frequency signal is generated and how it's used. In a simple overview of the different versions, we will show how Bluetooth has evolved and been refined. You can also learn something about the specifications and security of this communication standard.

Memory Card Slot

Battery Capacity

A laptop battery's size, along with the efficiency of the components used and software optimisation, determines battery life.

Display Type

Each type of display is suitable for different purposes.

Display Resolution

The resolution specifies the number of pixels (pixels) that are displayed horizontally and vertically on a screen. The higher the resolution, the sharper and more detailed the image.
