Advanced memory overclocking
The board includes two slots for dual-channel DDR5 memory modules. Using one DIMM module per channel reduces signal interference and contributes to higher overclocking frequencies. Power system
AMD Ryzen processors are powered by a 22+2+1 phase power design with 110A Smart Power Stages. This system accurately monitors the current and temperature in each phase circuit. Fast storage
For data storage, the ASRock X87 motherboard offers M.2 slots for fast SSDs. Two of these slots support the PCIe 5.0 ×4 interface, which offers high transfer speeds. The bottom passive heatsink dissipates heat through the printed circuit board. Users can create additional capacity using two SATA III connectors with support for RAID 1 arrays.
Modern connectivity and USB 4.0
The rear panel includes two USB 4.0 Type-C ports with a throughput of up to 40Gb/s. These ports also support video output via DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Power Delivery 3.0 technology supports fast charging of external devices at up to 36W on the front panel. Network interface with Wi-Fi 7
Wireless network connection is provided by a Wi-Fi 7 module supporting the 802.11be standard and a 2×2 antenna. An integrated Bluetooth 5.4 interface is used for connecting accessories. The Realtek RTL8126 Ethernet controller provides a wired network connection at speeds of up to 5Gb/s. This connector has increased resistance to electromagnetic interference.
Installation
A quick-release mechanism for the graphics card in the PCI Express slot makes handling components easy. Installing M.2 drives and their heatsinks is a tool-less process. Updating the firmware is made easy by the BIOS Flashback button on the rear panel, which doesn't require a processor or memory to be installed. For performance tuners, the board offers hardware buttons to change frequencies on the fly.
