Just to be sure, I tried the toner on my HP Lasetjet Pro MFP M28a first with the old firmware and then with the new one (which has "dynamic security" or toner originality check enabled) and both worked fine. It's a pity that HP tries to block non-original toners (the one from Alza works), if HP toner cost 1000 and not 1559, I would buy the original. So hopefully the toner from Alza will last.
