I am a lover of light roasted "specialty coffee" where the fruity character of the coffee is retained in the taste (yes, coffee is supposed to be sour, like fruit, we addicts call it juicy) whether for espresso or for alternative preparation. I must admit that I was prejudiced against AlzaCafé (after previous experiences), but when a colleague brought a package of this coffee, I was very pleasantly surprised. There's none of the "wow" that comes with the specialties from reputable roasters (connoisseurs know), but that's more of a plus for people previously used to the typical "turk" of roasted coffee of unstable quality, who are just starting to move elsewhere. It is simply good, even excellent coffee with a taste typical of standard Ethiopian specialty coffees and in addition, the discount costs about half the price I would pay for a good coffee of similar taste elsewhere. Keep it up: )

I am satisfied with the coffee, it is not the first time I buy it. At a discount, it's unbeatable price/performance. What I have to criticize is the packaging - although it is nice, I could not open the "zipper", the pull ends broke off, so I had to cut the packaging. But this could be due to a faulty piece or (more likely) my clumsiness, and the main thing is what's inside.
I received the coffee two weeks after it had been brewed - which is not ideal, of course, but then again I am not such a connoisseur to know the difference.
