I expected more. I am satisfied with the Alza brand in other types of products, but I am very disappointed with the coffee. First came the surprise that the package had no closure (so I had to put all the coffee in a jar). I made coffee using an AeroPress and a filter (even though the coffee doesn' t explicitly say aeropress, I assume it should handle this coffee since it' s designed for a french press and filter). In both cases, the result is the same. The coffee is very ordinary, the taste of cherries, nuts and cocoa is absolutely nowhere. It just tastes like a completely ordinary, cheaper coffee. I would dare to say that the coffee from Tchibo would be better too. I have no plans to try other coffees from Alza café. I prefer to buy coffee from Doubleshot or Nordbeans, which, excluding the promotion, cost exactly the same
price (CZK 0.85 per gram) - so only on sale. Otherwise, 1 CZK per gram

I am afraid that the roaster who processes the coffee prefers quantity over quality and the beans seem to be roasted at a high temperature. They are brittle, black when ground and the coffee has a very bitter taste overall. The package does not have a resealable bag as is customary with premium coffees.
