I have two spots at home with a smart adapter that has 3 outputs with a total power of 65W. Because I have USB-C on both, I wanted to solve both with a Micro USB adapter for charging devices that still have this connector. So I bought 2 pieces for both spots. I tried both spots, I plugged in my JBL headphones, a vape (several types), and a blood sugar meter. None of them started charging. So I solved it by replacing the cable in each spot, and it works without any problems. I returned it as non-functional, Alza sorted it with a replacement, but since it's over 20 km to the branch, it's not worth my while to go and pick up adapters that cost about 200 CZK in total. It's possible that this adapter works for 'dumb' adapters, but I definitely do not recommend it.
I wanted to use it as an adapter for charging older devices with USB-Micro, so that I wouldn’t have to carry a separate cable when travelling and could just use my USB-C/USB-C cables. But unfortunately, it doesn’t work. Apparently, it might work with USB-A / USB-C. I don't know, I haven't tried.
