As for the workmanship, I would say it is very high quality, at least it looks like that right out of the box. The noise level is certainly not 36db, but it is still relatively quiet compared to other competing models. The performance is sufficient for some medium to smaller rooms, e.g. bathroom. I originally bought it for the bedroom, but it's definitely not for night operation, the compressor run is not noisy, but not quiet either, but you practically don't know about it when watching TV. I did return the product, but not because it was bad, but it didn't suit what I wanted to use it for, otherwise I recommend it.
