Everything works as it should even with the iPad, which for me was the main requirement (unlike the "noname" Fifine 3). However, you need to initialize on a system where MiniFuse Control Center can be installed (which is only PC and Mac at the moment). From the description on the website it is not exactly obvious, but if you do not do it, all the LEDs on the interface flash. At the same time, Control Center is needed to update the firmware.
I only use one input for guitar, yet I'm glad I picked up version 2 as it has a physical controller to mix between the input and the usb/daw. On minifuse 1 it's possible in the app, but it's not available for iOS/IPadOS. Note as of 2026-01-28: Alza now sells this interface for the price of the newer OTG version, which has a second USB input. However, this is the original version with one input and MIDI in/out, which normally sells for 1000-1500 cheaper!
