The board was bought with the intention of building an office PC, with the possibility of converting it to gaming when I eventually move it further down the family. The board sees all components, after installing a clean win the system crashes or freezes. Temperatures ok. Flashnut bios, same problem. It does not respond to any drivers, in any load shutdown. I blamed it on the ramps - the high voltages and the fact that they are not in the QVL tested list (patriot viper 2x24gb 6400 cl36) and the weak processor of the 8k series (ryzen 8700f) - the ramps are quite possibly only suitable for intel as they are not in the QVL on either ryzen and amd is said to generally have a problem with anything outside the normal 8,16,32,64gb capacities. And the processor itself is controversial.
Tested with one, two and both modules + Off/on expo and lower frequency test. Nothing. Bought ryzen 9900x and kingston fury 64gb 6000 cl36 (both in QVL). Reinstall clean win, same problem. Removed rx5700xt, igpu doesn't work at all, i.e. it works, it sends a signal, but by default in such a frequency that none of the monitors will take it. Gtx960 is not working either. So a faulty PCI-E controller? I note that both rx and gtx I have been using in a stable i5 system so far.
Tested different m2 drives and gpu in different slots. Now I'm taking another board and rebuilding the whole PC. If I find that this board has blown any component, I can only put it on my shelf. As someone already wrote about another component, I really don't understand if we are such poor people that after 25 years we can't build a functional stable PC and it's just a matter for 14-year-old kids who are good at it. The year is 2025 and absolutely nothing has been tuned. I will add that the power supply was used seasonic gx 850 and disks kingston fury generade g5 and adata xpg s11 pro. The last option with this board is to load ubuntu to disk, test stability there or debug and update pure win on previous stable setup with two sets of drivers and swap the disk to this board. But I'm not in the mood for that after a week of daily torture, so I'm returning the board as defective. I haven't tried CLR_cmos, let them reset it in the service, if it doesn't go straight to scrap 🙂
