So far used about 10-20 times. I wouldn't describe the grinder as quiet, but with a tolerable noise level. It may not just be the volume of the motor, but the design and reduced material consumption obviously doesn't seal out the volume of the "breaking" of the coffee beans, which ultimately can be measurably louder than the actual operation of the grinder without the contents. A vacuum cleaner or food processor are, to my ear, louder. Operation is very simple, hassle-free. I was a bit surprised by the mention in the instructions that pretty much limits the grinder to a few short grinds followed by a necessary pause. From the other perspective, it is not a machine for grinding a kilo of coffee in one go, but a quick grind for three or four cups so that one always has a fresh grind. I wonder how long the relatively soft blades will last in use. On the positive side, I can still appreciate the foldability and definitely the simple operation. It is slightly worse with cleaning, but with regular use it is not even necessary. Just sweep with a brush once in a while.
