It's a rather tight fit – it sits on the filament perfectly, but it's no problem to thread the filament through the whole 1m tube, so that's OK.
However, if I were to trim the filament imprecisely, i.e. if I 'snapped' it and the sharp edges were sticking out to the sides, it wouldn't get through.
