Edit: I add my impressions after further testing. 4 simultaneous transfers from 1 PC (2Nvme) to two different 2.5Gbit devices. Two 2.5 Sata SSDs each. Transfer 4x 75MB/s i.e. 300MB/s from the theoretical 312MB/s. So a beautifully busy line in one direction. When I started downloading to the source PC it went up to 75MB/s. Then the transfer between the devices was completed. I didn't test further. It's working as it should, and most importantly: the temperature never got above 54c. I'm raising it to 4*
I achieved 298MB/s transfer
It's small.
Plug n play
Lan 1 router (1gbit) 2% usage, Lan 2 PC (2,5gbit), Lan 3 NAS (2,5gbit) I transferred only between PC and NAS, box temperature 54degrees. The transmission lasted barely a minute. I can't imagine that I would transfer from more devices and for longer periods of time.
It can handle 2.5gbit, that's why 3*. I'll try the transfer between 4 PCs and clear all the lines...
I toyed with the idea of external cooling, but I'll take something better.

I returned the product. It was overheating so much that it was impossible to keep my hand on it under load, and I was afraid to leave it on unattended to prevent a fire. Maybe it was just my piece that was defective.
