At home, you configure and set up your router. There is also an Android app for basic setup. Then you connect to this router at the hotel and click on WISP in the settings and it will find the hotel WiFi to which you connect the router. Then you connect all your devices to the wifi on this router. Another option is to: connect the cable from the hotel TV to the LAN port of the router, find out the MAC address of the TV, enter it into the MAC aperture, then plug your Ethernet cable into the LAN socket in the wall after the TV and the other end into the WAN port. Another thing is the VPN connection option, either you create a VPN server at home on your other router or you buy a VPN service and then the Cudy can be connected as a VPN client. Cudy has a mechanical switch that can be used to turn the VPN on, off. A VPN is great for when a country blocks e.g. WhatsUp calls. Then it can be used for free Vodafone wifi calls outside the EU. It also allows you to watch Czech IP TV abroad.
A great product for hotel, camping and other shared wifi and Ethernet connections.

even though it seems that the product will not be functional and that it can not do so much it really can handle a lot of options Which means that it connects wirelessly to some wifi and creates its own also has the option of client router and many more I was also surprised by the USB sharing but the best advantage of this router is that it does not take up so much space and can be powered through the usb-c connector on the back for example through a powerbank I recommend when choosing powerbanks to this model go for the brand orsen
very satisfied with the selection and purchase

Quite a laborious configuration, had to start from factory settings several times, finally managed to get it up and running in "client" mode, but I don't really know how, because now it works transparently and I don't know how to log in to the administration. But the main thing is that it works!
small but handy
when it is finally commissioned, it works and tolerates reboots and AP outages
rather sketchy documentation

I can't say anything about the other reviews, the original FW lasted me about two minutes on it and I believe there is nothing to lose and the reviews describe it adequately. But after installing OpenWRT it's great, it has a lot of performance in this price range, it can handle 150 MBit from a USB connected iPhone hotspot, connect to another wifi and make a hotspot with better signal strength and/or without MAC address blocking... Just the perfect router for traveling, if you can set things up in the somewhat geeky LuCi OpenWrt UI. Except the single multiplexed 100mbit port is a bit awkward - too bad Alza doesn't sell the TR1300, which has gigabit and looks like a reasonable middle ground. After all, the higher model TR3000 is twice the price and 2.5gb ethernet for a travel router is unnecessary.
Full OpenWrt support
Cheap
USB 2.0 port
USB-C Power
16MB ROM / 128MB RAM, so OpenWRT support will be around for a long time
100mbit port only, split into two VLANs
The adapter is missing

Stable, but slower. Because I kind of expected it. It' s basically a GL clone. iNet. Only OpenWRT is slightly different. I also tried other solutions (AC750 or RPi) with OpenWRT. this will probably be the best. Although TP-Link is smaller, it has little memory and a weak CPU, and again Wifi stability.
Much modified OpenWRT, nothing can be installed -> stable, and Wi-Fi debugged with timpad (I always had a problem with this elsewhere)
The firmware contains everything that makes sense for such a device. Tried different modes and VPN. Functional and stable.
I REALLY appreciate that bold color. I buy everything in such a color that I don' t forget it anywhere.
The price is reasonable. I bought it as a test, there is also a higher model.
USB-C powered!
I' m sorry for the LAN 100Mb and I would certainly be happy to have one more port there.
It' s a shame that it doesn' t come with additional plug adapters, when it already supports them!
