We were really excited about the coffee machine at first. It looks very nice, the construction looks good, we found it quieter than other coffee makers and generally liked it a lot. Unfortunately, the really big downside is that it is not possible to open and clean the grinder without having to disassemble the entire coffee maker. When I started to start the machine and set it according to the manual, about the third grind the grinder jammed. It did make sounds, but the grains weren't getting into it (and we're not aware of anything getting into it that shouldn't have). We were quite disappointed that there is no way to clean the grinder or see what might be wrong, and we really don't want to have to take the coffee maker to the service center every time the grinder needs to be cleaned properly. Or possibly you won't even get coffee beans out of it if you change the type, for example. The grinder does have a cleaning hole, but we do not find it possible to clean the grinder properly in this way. Unfortunately, we could not even test the quality of the coffee that can be prepared on this machine. It is possible that we just got a defective piece, anyway the inability to open the grinder was quite crucial for us and we returned the coffee machine the very next day and bought another one. However, I would also like to commend Alza, the return process was quick and smooth, and within the next day we received notification that we were getting our money back.

With this coffee machine I wanted to replace an older model that we have had for a few years and is starting to fail. I was kind of choosing based on the look and quality of workmanship as well, this model is appealing. But after unpacking, installing and using it for a few days of "testing", I was disappointed. What I consider to be a major shortcoming is the impossibility of disassembling and thoroughly cleaning the inside of the coffee grinder, or rather the grinding stones. I often change coffee types in the machine, so I need to clean the grinder thoroughly, and unfortunately this is not possible. This can only be solved at an authorized service center and for a fee, which is absurd. Furthermore, I was not satisfied with the design and location of the hot water outlet pipe. It is located close to the brewing head and slightly interferes with the coffee lever. Several times I broke my already crammed coffee bud on this pipe. These above reasons led me to decide to return the coffee maker after a week. It's not practical.
