The strap is really good quality and I recommend buying a genuine Garmin, even if it is expensive. It is very comfortable on the hand and the watch is lighter with it. It's easier to forget I have something on my hand. It can also be used with Quick Release lugs when you take them out of the original silicone strap, for example, but it's less practical.
The price seems totally exorbitant to me, but it's the only solid option for this type of strap, so they can afford it. I hope it will last at least a long time, I can't evaluate it yet.
