If you're used to classic plastic filter kettles, this one will be a 1000% upgrade. Our kettle is still on the counter, so when the old one went, I got this one instead because it's made of glass and wood. It filters fast, has super volume and looks presentable. If you are used to putting the kettle in the fridge I would be wary. It has a wide circular base so it won't fit in the drinks compartment in the fridge door. Plus it's MEGA tall, so you can't put it in a standard foch either.
