First, I bought 2 of them. The same thing happened with both. After inserting the batteries and screwing the cover on, the lamp wouldn't turn on when I pressed the button. Sometimes it would just flash very quickly, as if the batteries were dead (they were fully charged, I tested them). With the first lamp, a gentle tap on the bottom or side of the lamp helps. However, when you put the lamp down on a table, that subsequent tap can turn the lamp off again :D So there's probably a bad connection with the batteries somewhere. The second lamp was probably completely faulty, as even that didn't help, and what's more, the hinged part wouldn't click shut, it just kept flopping open. The third one I bought behaves the same as the first one. When the lamp is working, it's a very nice gift. But for us, it's mostly just been a hassle.
A practical gadget, it glows nicely in the dark. My child can use it as a light at night when they're walking somewhere.
Poorly designed. The lamp often has a bad connection with the batteries and then it won't light up.

I have to unfortunately agree with the reviews above. The product would be awesome if it passed quality control. Such a design element cannot afford to be full of scuffs and scratches from the factory.
Nice appearance (if the workmanship was of good quality)
Hanging on the wall
Very nice idea
