I switched from the Astral 5090 to the Suprim 5090 because of the significantly better cooling, which is exactly what happened. The Suprim spins measurably fewer revolutions at the same temperature and is significantly quieter. Astral is not helped at all by the fan on the back, which is useless and has a rather unpleasant acoustic manifestation. Even with the manual fan curve, it just doesn't fit on the Suprim. Asus has screwed up this generation with Astral.
The best 5090 on the market in terms of cooling
600W load in Furmark = 1180 RPM at 77C per core, card is virtually inaudible (coil whine is solved by headphones)
