The packaging is very rigid and hard, so it will protect the contents. It bothers me a bit that the console may snap on to the lid, but what's in the bottom of the box can shift all over the place. This isn't helped by the carrying handle on the side, so as soon as you carry the box by it, it starts to get tangled and soapy inside. It's a fine product, I'm happy with it, but it could have been a bit more fine-tuned.

Good hard-shell case, with lots of room for games & accessories (can fit the Pro controller + charger and still have room for extra game cartridges). The console fits tightly into its compartment, but there is no easy way to take it out, always get fingerprints on the screen and I do not recommend pulling it out by grabbing the analog sticks. The console compartment is on the top half of the case, which is a double edge sword - good use of space, but it's being held by 1 small velcro strap and I can see that over the time, it could ware out. Fits tightly in a 15' laptop backpack horizontally, so it's not going to flop around in there, which is a bonus for me, giving the illusion that it's in there securely when traveling. The design is very minimalistic, just a black fabric case, no logos on the outside and a decently sized carry handle on the back - for my purposes great.
