I have no idea what problem the product solves. I can't even think of a situation in which I would consider buying it again. I think I'll go with the single-disc boxes. They cost me less, are portable and virtually silent. In short, another product that doesn't know whose it is. It works as it should, the package includes the appropriate cables, the read speeds match the interface (5Gbps), the design is awesome but:
It is not suitable for the table due to fan noise and vibration transmission from the discs.
It is also unsuitable for use under the table. It cannot go into standby, the button for manual switching off is placed unguidedly, at the back. Disc replacement has a hint of "tool less" but you still need to use a screwdriver.

The disk is visible in windows as if it were plugged in normally. But the PC sees that it is connected via USB controller.

The ventilation is very noisy. They probably used the cheapest fan on the market. It doesn't react to the temperature of the discs. 40C vs 20C is no difference. The constant noise level (determined by the "by ear" method) is equivalent to 50% load of Sapphire RX 5700 XT Pulse i.e. 30dB. So it drowns out the desktop computer next to my hands.
The switch-off button is just at the back next to the three-wire 230V cable. It can't detect that the computer on the other side is off. It can't go into standby.
The discs MUST be screwed into the rail before insertion. The rail can be removed elegantly but it is useless because without it you can't put another disc in. Just swapping the disc = screwdriver. There are exactly as many rails in the package as there are drawers.
