for the first 4 weeks a very unpleasant chemical smell, with which the textile cover was treated, probably against mould or some pests, which gave me a headache. Even after a month, I can still smell the chemical smell slightly, but it's much better and it doesn't give me a headache. I solved it by putting the chair outside for those 4 weeks and taking it home when it was a bit dry. Anyway, if you don't have a place to put it for at least those four weeks, I would consider getting it, which is a shame, because otherwise it's great.
