For me, the Samsung A57 is mainly about speed – unlike the A33, nothing lags, even when I have lots of tabs open in the browser. The battery lasts all day, and fast charging is a nice bonus. I like the eSIM support, but on the other hand, it's missing the SD card slot which I used on the A33. The new model is bigger, which is more of a minus for me. The in-display reader works, but sometimes I have to put my finger on it more than once. Similarly with NFC – some terminals don't respond as well as they used to. Both phones have long-term support and regular updates, which I appreciate. The A57 also has the added bonus of the current cashback offer.
I chose the Samsung A57 as a replacement for my 5-year-old POCO. And I have to say that, in my case, there’s been an improvement in every respect.
A beautiful display, a very fast system response, a decent camera and a very well-executed design. When you add to that the promise of system updates for six years, this phone is just perfect for me.
However, I do have a few criticisms – they aren’t major, but they are a bit of a hindrance. I miss wireless charging. For a phone in this price range, I would have expected a lower battery capacity; cheaper models from other manufacturers offer a higher capacity.
Overall, however, I rate the phone very highly, both in terms of functionality and design.
I bought the phone quite recently and I'm both excited and a little disappointed about it. The phone as such looks elegant, it is excellently processed, powerful enough, has a good display, good sound, sufficient battery life, simply in terms of hardware it meets everything I wanted from it. I am much less enthusiastic about the software. The phone has apps for everything - Bigsby Assistant, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Keyboard, and so on. It wouldn't be a bad thing if the apps had real Czech support in addition to a translated user interface. The default Bigsby doesn't understand Czech, so you'll probably swap it out for Google Assistant very quickly. Samsung Wallet does not support credit cards in the Czech Republic, so you need to install Google Wallet. But with Google Wallet on Samsung phones, you can't set it up so that you have to unlock the phone first for NFC payments. And that means you'll either be turning on NFC manually, or if you lose the phone, anyone will be able to pay with it even with the screen locked. Samsung Keyboard is decent, but voice input in English just doesn't work (you need to switch it to Google voice input).
Not to knock the software, you also have features that other brands' phones don't have. For example, I really like the Modes and Routines for automating tasks on the phone. The AI features for photos and video are also interesting. And I liked the app to transfer data from my old phone.
In summary, Samsung apps are good, but not everything works in the Czech Republic. The phone has long support for updates (6 years), so I hope they decide to do something about the support for other countries and languages. From the official Czech distribution I really expected better functionality of the software in the Czech Republic.
Sufficient performance without chopping
High quality display
Noticeably better sound than the old phone
Good camera
Elegant design
Easily transfer data from your old phone
Automation (routines and modes)
Some Samsung apps are limited in the Czech Republic, so you need to look for alternatives.
You cannot make payments via NFC conditional on unlocking your phone.
I bought this phone as a replacement for a Samsung A25 5G, so for me, it represents a fairly significant step up. From the very first use, I noticed several things that are better than my previous phone and which have made me happy with my new purchase. The main improvement I see is primarily the metal body. It makes the phone feel much more premium and high-quality. It's pleasant to hold, and I get the feeling that it's a more expensive device. I also like its overall craftsmanship and appearance, which looks modern and elegant. The camera is also a big improvement for me. Photography wasn't the main reason I bought the phone, but the difference compared to the Samsung A25 5G has really surprised me. In my opinion, the photos are higher quality, have better detail, and generally look much better. Even with casual photography, the difference is noticeable. Another thing I appreciate is the fast charging. The phone can charge really quickly, so I don't have to wait long when I need to top up the battery. This is particularly practical when I realise my phone is almost dead and I need to use it quickly. I also really enjoy the new circle-to-search feature. You just circle part of the screen or an object, and the phone can search for it. I find the feature very practical. I like that I can use it during normal phone use and don't have to laboriously type or enter information manually. The only feature I miss a little is the fingerprint reader on the power button, which my old phone had. I was used to it, and I found it very convenient to use. Overall, though, I am happy with the phone and see its purchase as a significant step forward from the Samsung A25 5G. Ziky S.
After a few days of use, the Samsung Galaxy A57 has really pleasantly surprised me. The phone runs completely smoothly without any lag whatsoever, the battery easily lasts me a full two days, and the display is gorgeous and perfectly readable even in direct sunlight. Photos from the main camera are sharp and have lovely colours. A great bit of kit in my opinion, I definitely don't regret buying it.
I was pleasantly surprised by the phone's thin and lightweight design, perfect display, and how easy it is to handle.

I, Jakub Laušman, have many years of experience with the Samsung Galaxy A5 series. This is now my 4th phone from this model range and once again, it's a great one. I've always chosen this model for its simple user interface, the ease of transferring everything over when buying a newer model, but mainly for its durability. I cycle, I enjoy canoeing trips, yachting, swimming, messing about on water slides with the kids, rock climbing – basically, I do all sorts, and this phone has really put up with a lot with me. At most, I've only ever had to replace the stick-on screen protector, and it was always as good as new.
Beautifully thin
Very easy to read display
Its water resistance, dust resistance and drop resistance have proven themselves countless times already.
They've finally added eSIM support
AI features
Large internal capacity (I didn't need it to be expandable, not even with the previous model. The 256GB is simply more than enough space for everything you need -> just don't forget to back it up regularly :-D )
They could have included a travel wall charger with the cable, but I can live without it.

reliability
It doesn't cut
