After five years, I'm switching from the Galaxy A52, which was already noticeably slow. The difference in performance is huge. In terms of software, One UI 8 is a big change from version 6, and in terms of design, I found the older version perhaps a little clearer. What I miss the most is the SD card slot, through which I have transferred all my data and contacts for years. Despite this complication, the Samsung A-series is still a good choice.

I have been using the phone for a short time, but first impressions are very good. I was most impressed with the camera. Photos are sharp, have natural colours and look good even in low light. I think it's more than enough for normal photography.
Overall, the phone feels snappy, the display is nice and everything runs as it should. For everyday use without problems.
The only thing I would mention as a minor drawback is the lack of an SD card slot. It's nothing major, but it's about the only thing I could fault. Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more common with phones today.
The Samsung A57 surprised me with its lightness and slim design, it feels good in the hand. I appreciate the smart intelligence and the nice quality of the photos and the comfortable operation of the phone. But I do mind the significantly protruding camera and its layout, I liked it better on the A53. This is my only complaint otherwise I am 100% satisfied with the phone.
I'm switching from the A54 to the Galaxy A57. At first glance, the A57 looks much more premium, the phone is incredibly thin and light. It's holding up well. The display in the sun finally doesn't burn the eyes and everything runs lightning fast, which was not the case with the older A54 after a while. Progress can be seen in photography in the dark when photos can be very sharp.
There are a few flies, though:
Ergonomics: Because of the sharp edges and thin profile, my palms cut a little after holding it for a long time. But I solved it with a wrapper.
Batteries: Although it recharges quickly thanks to 45W charging, I was surprised that the battery life is only "standard" i.e. only one day - the A54 subjectively seemed to me like a bigger holder. Price: The starting price tag is up again. Even though I have not let the A series for years, thanks to the fact that the price is again a little higher, I was considering this purchase for a while. In the end, chance solved it for me and I accidentally broke the original phone. The A57 is a great machine, but if my A54 still served me well, I'd probably wait another generation before buying it.
The Samsung Galaxy A57 is the king of the mid-range for 2026, with a cutting-edge 120Hz AMOLED display, great battery life and an improved camera that shoots sharply even in the dark. With long software support and IP67 water resistance, it's a sensible choice for any user.
I have a business A34 and a private A53, and it was the A53 that I traded in for the A57. It's a plus difference, especially when it comes to photos. However, the 53, still works very well and I'll keep it for emergencies and hope the 57 will be just as good. Just a pity about the lack of SD card, otherwise great.

Compared to the previous generation, this is more of an evolution than a revolution, but that's actually a good thing. The user knows exactly what and where to find in the phone and any new features will only please him and improve the use of the device. The processing quality is at a good level, I was pleased with the slightly reduced dimensions and reduced weight of the phone. For me, the new A57 is an excellent helper for everyday office work and for the not-so-demanding user it is a fully sufficient device with an excellent price/performance ratio. Even more so if you take advantage of manufacturer's introductory discounts.
