It depends on the user, but personally I would buy this wifi dongle again. The practical reality is rather lagging behind the marketing hype
In the end it works quite well
It was very difficult to get it working under Windows 10; also tested on PopOS, where it works ok.
There are no drivers for OpenWrt, it is absolutely impossible to use it as an additional antenna on the router if necessary; or at least I couldn't do it
The frequency bands on Windows 10 are limited to the world, you can't set the Czech Republic, so there's a lot of interference from the surroundings and incompatibility with most 5Ghz transmitters (it didn't work for some mobile hotspots, I had to reconfigure part of my home network because of that...). On Linux, you can reconfigure the location, so the HW as such can handle it, but not on Win10.

I suddenly became the owner of a refurbished office PC and was surprised that it didn't have wifi. (which is normal for office machines) Thanks to this product my problem is solved.

Cool stuff! The network card on my laptop went out and I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi, IT support offered me as a solution to replace the entire motherboard for about 20k! This tiny little thing did it for less than a grand. Just plug in the USB and click the installer, everything installs itself quickly.
On 1Gbps internet, I never caught more than 300/300 Mbps with this adapter. For comparison, I get full speed on my iPhone on the same network without any problems.
Unfortunately, I found out that it's garbage and I don't understand why TP-Link makes a dongle with the latest technology and builds it on a USB 2.0 interface that has no chance to support such speed at all. There is no mention of this anywhere on Alza, only on the official manufacturer's website and of course the layman does not know what speed USB 2.0 supports.
I return the product and applaud the great marketing.
works
Interface: USB 2.0
the maximum speed is therefore about 280-320 Mbps not the stated 1200 on 5G
It also pretends to be a disk where drivers can be found, so there is no need to download anything on the side
Due to the smaller size of the antenna, I did not have a good experience with connecting it to the desktop under the table. Plugging into the USB hub on the desk solved the problem with higher latency and speed.
