Matter is only used to connect devices from the Tapo network to the Matter network.
IR controllers cannot be controlled except in the app - not accessible via Matter

easy pairing
CANNOT CONNECT ANOTHER MATTER DEVICE (I wanted to control a light from another manufacturer) - it's just a bridge (Matter controller is Tapo H500 for 4.500Kč)
Only Tapo devices can be connected to this HUB

Bought for the garage because of the sensors on the door. Pairing cool, all easy, app guides. I was disappointed that it doesn't include a power supply, just a USB-C cable. I had to use the power from my cell phone. It would be nice to state that. Good thing I was charging a portable speaker behind the garage. otherwise everything works as it should, notifications come instantly.
Easy setup
price
power supply not included

there aren't many of them
You won't control the whole household. only equipment in direct line of sight. For the whole household, 5 - 6 pieces would be needed.
unstable network, repeat later. You program a driver that you don't save.

It's working great; )
low power consumption, measured under 1W
the possibility to set your own driver (it took me a while to realize that the driver for the air conditioning, sends something different every time, after a while of debugging successfully set. ) For example under one off button there are two signals, One for on and one for off, you need to make two virtual buttons, but probably not everyone will have that; )
I really can't think of anything

This device can replace several phone drivers and you don't have to search for the right device driver. Pairing to the Tapo app and to a WiFi network will use Bluetooth and there is no need to connect to the device with WiFi on your phone. Just not very pleased that the device does not include a power adapter but only a USB C cable and on the other side to the USB A adapter. I have connected the HUB to a free USB in the Router but you need to either buy or use a free unused one when you buy it. The individual pairing of drivers is very simple, either you use predefined drivers or from templates or you can create a driver manually. Then assign buttons with respect to the selected option and button on the physical controller in Tapo. But it would need some more work on the driver display settings, which are so strange and unfinished in Tapo. The controls themselves don't carry over to other apps like Google Home or SmartThings, and while the device is visible there, the apps only see it as a switch, which is silly. The device does have Bluetooth, but only for pairing, it's a shame it can't also be used in place of Bluetooth remotes.
HUB can pair with other Tapo accessories like a classic HUB
Replaces IR remote controls for various appliances
Built-in speaker for bell or siren
Size - it is small
Easy pairing to the Tapo app using Bluetooth and to a WiFi network using the Tapo app
Communicates with other apps like Google Home, SmartThings, etc. (basic settings only)
Power supply via USB C (cable included)
Can be attached to the wall using the hook in the body of the device or adhesive tape (included)
Power adapter not included, only USB C cable (to HUB) with USB A (to adapter) - must be plugged in separately!
Set controls can only be controlled via the Tapo app and their settings cannot be transferred to other apps like Google Home or SmartThings, only these apps see them as a switch
The Tapo app also has a bit limited automation on these devices, it would need to be tweaked
The custom driver settings in Tapo are a bit limited, if you choose a driver from templates, buttons from that template can't be scrolled in the view, or buttons you've created can't be moved to them
Cannot replace Bluetooth drivers (IR only)
Can only be controlled with Tapo (cannot be controlled via Google Home or SmartThings
