He's doing his job. So far I haven' t encountered any problem regarding functionality. I expected a greater range, but that will probably be due to the composition of the walls and ceilings in the house. I found it a bit annoying that they force me to use the app and the cloud to manage the device. However, it is possible to do without it and configure the device only via the internal web server. When configuring the recovery password, it doesn' t warn about the required minimum length of the password, so for a while I didn' t know why I couldn' t continue. At the same time, when entering the password for WiFi, the user is warned about the insufficient length of the password. I bolted it to the ceiling so it also doubles as a safety/orientation light at night. However, I have not yet investigated whether it is possible to change the color or the brightness level somehow. Unfortunately for me, it whistles slightly, but I' m the only one at home who can hear it.
Satisfaction with this WiFi access point. Easy setup, great range and signal stability. The settings app could have been better. I definitely recommend it.
the fact that it works as an AP is not a plus but a given
absolutely idiotic setup system
it forces you to download the app
it forces you to set up another completely useless registration
without the above you can't even set a fixed IP address for this AP!
cannot be easily set up via ethernet cable
absolutely unnecessarily complicated and completely unintuitive setup process
someone wanted to be "modern" again.
none of the above is part of the product description, although most of the points would be a stop for me and I would look for another AP that has a civilized interface for setup. Due to the wrong description, the manufacturer/distributor puts customers in a situation that many would like to forgive. I consider this to be extremely unserious.
unfortunately I am pressed for time and I need some AP but I feel like throwing this crap out of the window.
finally a system that will safely cover the wifi of the entire multi-storey house. first a disastrous experience with tp link deco m9 (the signal is transmitted between the units only via wifi), then tp link deco m4 (the units did not want to see each other on the same switch), now finally an instant success. Just as I wrote above, it would not be bad to have some lan outlet for connecting devices via cable, plus it is a bit confusing that even if all units eventually create one wifi network, the SSID and password are set separately for each unit. the app is as weak as the competitors, for example, you name the access point when setting up, so that you do not see only its mac address, but in the app it is still displayed only under the mac address and you have to rename it again later. but as I say, it does what it's supposed to, it has a strong signal, so I recommend it.
easy setup
strong signal
design, possibility to switch off LEDs
has no cable outlet for prime connection of the device with a cable
the app is weak
strange setting of one and the same wifina for each access point
