It fulfills the purpose and it is nice that it can be operated only on the internal battery. Without power supply (charger, powerbank) only the lower coloured part or the white light can be used separately (not both at the same time). When powering up, then both can be lit at the same time (and it does not have to be lit all at once, as some lady in the review wrote - each part can be lit separately or both at the same time).
However, it would be useful to control the temperature of the white light - it is cold, which is not pleasant, but at least you can reduce the intensity.
The mode selection and intensity level are all controlled with one button, so it's a bit of a click, but I got the hang of it right away and it's not that big of an obstacle.
