Performance and backup time
The real power output of the backup supply is 420W with an apparent power of 700VA and an output power factor of 0.6. At full load, it keeps connected devices running for 1 minute, which is enough time to save work-in-progress and shut down systems safely. At half load, the backup time extends to up to 9 minutes. A high operating efficiency of 97% in normal mode contributes to lower electricity consumption and less heat generation from the device itself. The default output voltage is 230V, matching the standard mains supply. The input voltage range of 184V to 264V can be adjusted to as wide as 161V to 284V.
Operating principle and protection
This backup power supply uses offline topology. During standard operation, it powers appliances directly from the mains and automatically switches to the battery in the event of an outage. Integrated protection shields sensitive electronics from damage caused by voltage spikes. One of the four output sockets provides surge protection only, without backup power, which is suitable for peripherals like printers or scanners that do not require battery backup. The device operates in a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
Battery management
Inside is a sealed lead-acid battery with a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 7Ah. The user can replace it themselves if needed, which reduces service costs. The battery management system includes deep-discharge protection, which extends its lifespan and reliability. The power supply performs an automatic battery test at regular intervals. Additionally, the cold start feature lets you turn on the UPS and power appliances even without mains power, for example, to briefly access data.
Connectivity options
For connecting appliances, there are three backed-up French Type E sockets and one additional socket with surge protection only. A standard C14 connector provides the power input. These connection options ensure flexibility for different types of devices.
