EATON UPS 5P 1550i Gen2

The EATON UPS 5P 1550i Gen2 is a line-interactive UPS that protects the power supply for servers, network components and other IT equipment. With an apparent power of 1550VA and a high real power of 1350W, it can power even demanding setups. At the output, it delivers a pure sine wave, which ensures the necessary power quality for sensitive electronics. The integrated automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects both undervoltage and overvoltage without unnecessarily draining the battery, providing effective protection for connected devices. At full load, it powers appliances for up to 2 minutes, while at half load, the backup time extends to 11.6 minutes. The Eaton Brightlayer software suite provides remote management and monitoring. Communication is handled by a HID-compatible USB port, an RS-232 serial port, and a mini-terminal block for remote on and off. A slot for an optional communication card expands the options to include a Gigabit Ethernet network interface (Network-M3) or additional relay contacts. The software manages the automatic safe shutdown of connected systems.

Battery management and protection features

The EATON UPS 5P 1550i Gen2 contains three lead-acid, maintenance-free batteries (3× 12V/9Ah) that are hot-swappable by the user. Eaton ABM+ technology extends battery life by up to 50% thanks to advanced three-stage charging. The LCD displays predictive data on battery status and guides you through battery replacement. The device also supports a cold start, meaning it can be started from the batteries without mains power. The unit protects connected devices with surge protection and deep discharge protection.

Connectivity and outlets

To power the EATON UPS 5P 1550i Gen2, the UPS connects to the mains via a standard IEC C14 connector. Eight IEC C13 output sockets are used to connect protected devices. Intelligent load segment management divides the sockets into groups to prioritise power for critical applications and extend their backup time at the expense of less important appliances.
