EATON UPS 9E 1000i Rack 2U

The Eaton 9E 1000i Rack 2U uninterruptible power supply protects critical infrastructure such as servers and network components. This 900W double-conversion UPS delivers an apparent power of 1000VA and a true power of 900W to power sensitive electronics. Its online topology continuously regenerates the input voltage, delivering a pure sine wave output without any interruption. As a 2U rack UPS, it integrates easily into standard data racks. It keeps equipment running for 12 minutes at half load and 4.5 minutes at full load. It features four C13 backup sockets.

Online topology and high efficiency

The unit operates with an online double-conversion topology, ensuring a pure sine wave output and zero transfer time to battery. A high input power factor exceeding 0.99 minimises grid distortion. In high-efficiency mode, its operational efficiency reaches up to 98%, contributing to lower running costs and reduced heat emissions. An internal bypass maintains power even if the UPS fails.

Battery management, protection and connectivity

Three built-in, user-replaceable 12V/7Ah lead-acid batteries provide power. Advanced battery management includes automatic testing and temperature-compensated charging. The system extends battery life with deep discharge protection. It does not support expansion with external battery modules. You connect the input power using a standard IEC C14 connector. To power connected devices, it offers four IEC C13 sockets, all providing full battery backup and protection.

Management and monitoring options for the EATON UPS 9E 1000i Rack 2U

An HID-compliant USB port and an RS232 serial port are used for communication with a computer or server. An expansion slot for a network card and a terminal block for Remote Power Off (RPO) offer further connectivity options. With Eaton Intelligent Power Manager software, you can automate the safe shutdown of systems during a prolonged power outage. A clear LCD screen displays the unit's status and key parameters.
