EATON UPS 9PX 2200i RT2U Li-Ion

The EATON 9PX 2200i RT2U Li-Ion UPS is an online double-conversion UPS that delivers a clean and stable sine wave output with a power of 2200W. As a modern lithium-ion UPS, it uses batteries with a longer lifespan, lower weight, and fewer maintenance requirements compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. This backup power supply for servers and critical infrastructure has a unity power factor (VA=W), which means the apparent power of 2200VA is fully utilised. At full load, it powers connected devices for 11 minutes, and you can extend this time with external modules. Thanks to its versatile rack/tower design (2U rack UPS), you can easily integrate it into any IT environment.

Topology and performance

This power supply uses an online double-conversion topology that continuously filters and regulates the input power. As the first UPS in its class to offer a unity power factor, its real power of 2200W equals its apparent power of 2200VA. In high-efficiency mode, it achieves up to 98% efficiency, dropping to 93.5% at full load. The backup time at 100% load is 11 minutes, which extends to 22.5 minutes at half load. At the heart of the system is an internal lithium-ion battery that you can easily hot-swap. For critical applications, you can extend the backup time with up to four external battery modules (EBMs). An integrated internal bypass maintains power even if the UPS fails. The system includes protection against deep battery discharge and an automatic safe shutdown function for connected systems.

Management and communication

For monitoring and management, the power supply features USB (HID compatible) and RS232 ports. It also includes mini terminal blocks for remote on/off and an output relay. The included Eaton Intelligent Power Manager software supports full compatibility with virtual environments like VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix. A graphical LCD clearly displays operating statuses and measures energy consumption down to the level of individual outlet groups.
